Limerick's Lavin sidelined

March 19, 2010

Limerick's Stephen Lavin
Limerick back Stephen Lavin has been ruled out of the remainder of the national football league.

The Adare clubman is facing eight weeks on the sideline after suffering ligament and tendon damage to his shoulder. This rules him out of the Treaty County's remaining four games in Division Four.

However, Lavin should be fit for the Munster championship semi-final against Clare or Waterford on June 6.

Mickey Ned O'Sullivan is also without John Galvin, Stephen Lucey and Eoin Hogan for Sunday's trip to Aughrim, while Johnny McCarthy, Seanie Buckley, Ian Ryan and Stephen Kelly are all struggling to shake off injuries.
