O'Rourke plays down Mourne return

Armagh football manager Paddy O'Rourke
Armagh manager Paddy O'Rourke has said that his side's clash at the top of Division Two against Down this week is "just another game".

The game will see O'Rourke returning to his native county, who he captained to All-Ireland success back in 1991, as he comes up against counterpart James McCartan, who was a playing colleague of his in the past and the two are still close friends.

"It is just another game and I'll be treating it as that," said O'Rourke.

"It's only sport. Some people maybe think it's more than that, but it's not.

"James will approach it in the same way. You will have two teams wanting to win the game. It should be an entertaining game and there will probably be a lot of football played in it. It should be a great night."

The Orchard boss also added that the game will be ideal for their championship preparations in the northern province.

"It's great preparation for the likes of James, with Down going to Donegal in the championship and us having to go up to Celtic Park.

"These sort of matches are what you need," he added.
