Cody reappointed in Kilkenny

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody
Kilkenny's bid for an unprecedented five-in-a-row of All-Ireland hurling titles has been boosted by the news that Brian Cody will once again be at the helm in 2010.
As expected, Cody was reappointed for a 12th successive season at last night's county board meeting. Cody's reappointment took just 30 seconds after Kilkenny chairman Paul Kinsella put his name forward for ratification. His selectors Michael Dempsey and Martin Fogarty were also reappointed.
Cody and the squad will depart for Indonesia for a 12-day holiday at the end of the year before the real business of hurling will resume with the Walsh Cup in January.
It is clear than the James Stephens clubman has lost none of his hunger for success, despite having already guided the Cats to seven All-Ireland successes since he succeeded his cousin Kevin Fennelly as manager at the end of 1998.
