Tommy Walsh will join St Kilda next month
Tommy Walsh's last game for Kerins O'Rahillys ended in glory yesterday when the Strand Road club overcame Laune Rangers in the Kerry U21FC final at Fitzgerald Stadium. O'Rahilly's, who had three Kerry senior panellists on duty - David Moran, Tommy and Barry John Walsh - withstood a late rally from their Killorglin opponents to win by 1-13 to 2-8. After going in at the break on level terms, O'Rahilly's hit the front in the 38th minute when Barry John Keane netted. Rangers' replied with a similar score from Colin O'Dwyer before David Moran kicked three points in-a-row to put O'Rahillys firmly in the driving seat. Rangers hit back with scores from Kevin Flynn and Marty Lynch to leave the minimum it in before man of the match Barry John Walsh scored the insurance point to ensure a winning send off for his St. Kilda-bound brother.
