Kerry duo set for St. Kilda switch

Kerry supporters' worst fears are set to be realised with reports suggesting that Tommy Walsh and David Moran are on the brink of signing for top Aussie Rules side St. Kilda.
The Irish Daily Star reports that the Kerins O'Rahillys pair, who are both just 22, will buck the recent trend of Irish players turning their back on the AFL by committing their futures to the Melbourne club.
Walsh and Moran are believed to be set to follow in the footsteps of Kingdom team-mate Tadhg Kennelly and boost Irish numbers Down Under following the recent departures of Martin Clarke, Kevin Dyas and Brendan Murphy.
Aussie Rules recruitment agent Ricky Nixon revealed this week that "three or four" contracts were on the table for GAA players and he is expected in Ireland to tie up those contracts before November's International Rookie deadline.
International rookies can expect to make in the region of 25,000 a year and most newcomers are tied to two-year contracts.
Walsh, who was one of the stars of Kerry's All-Ireland final victory over Cork 10 days ago, had a trial with this year's AFL Grand Finalists last December, having missed the deadline due to his involvement with Kerins O'Rahillys in the Kerry SFC final replay.
