Dublin-Kerry to launch NFL

Kerry and Dublin are expected to launch next year's NFL campaign
A Croke Park meeting of Dublin and Kerry is expected to launch next year's National Football League. The Central Competitions Control Committee have issued county boards with a provisional fixture list for next season and the NFL Division 1 first round clash of Dublin and Kerry is the fixture which immediately jumps out. Dublin packed Croke Park for their opening league fixture against Tyrone last January, and a showdown with Jack O'Connor's All-Ireland finalists would almost certainly attract another capacity crowd. The game would also provide the Dubs with an early opportunity to gain a measure of revenge for last month's All-Ireland quarter-final mauling at the hands of the Kingdom. Other mouth-watering first round fixtures include Derry versus Tyrone and Mayo versus Galway. County boards have until Monday to lodge any objections to the proposed fixture list.
