Faithful boosted by duo's return

May 02, 2009
Offaly manager Joe Dooley has welcomed back key defenders David Franks and David Kenny for Sunday's National Hurling League Division 2 decider against Wexford. The pair had been rated doubtful having missed the Division 2 group games against Wexford and Antrim through injury. But they have been passed fit and take their place in an all-changed full back line for the Semple Stadium encounter. Franks and Kenny are joined in the last line of defence by James Rigney, who started in the half back line against Antrim two weeks ago. Paul Cleary moves from full back to wing half, with Brendan O'Meara dropping out of the starting XV. Offaly (NHL Division 2 final v Wexford): B Mullins, D Franks, D Kenny, J Rigney, K Brady, G Oakley, P Cleary, R Hanniffy, B Murphy, B Carroll, J Brady, D Molloy, D Currams, S Dooley, J Bergin.
