Ballinamore Sean O'Heslins were crowned Leitrim senior football champions for the 22nd time after defeating Fenagh St Caillin’s by 3-14 to 0-15 in this afternoon's final replay at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada.

After his late goal secured a draw two weeks ago, Tom Prior hit the net again in first-half here to set Ballinamore on their way before Paul Honeyman converted a penalty to help establish a 2-10 to 0-7 half-time lead.

Prior finished with a goal and a two-pointer to his name, while Honeyman’s accurate shooting kept Fenagh at arm’s length as they attempted to mount a comeback.

Paul Moran sealed the victory with Ballinamore’s third goal seven minutes from time, putting the result beyond doubt, securing a first SFC success for the club since 2021.

Fenagh battled to the end, with Donal Wrynn landing a late two-pointer for them, but Sean O'Heslins were deserved winners as they secured the eight-point win to help banish come ghosts having lost out in the last two county finals.
