Loughmore/Castleiney claimed their 17th Tipperary senior football title after edging out holders Clonmel Commercials 0-15 to 0-13 in a tense final at FBD Semple Stadium.

Two-pointers from 'Man of the Match' Liam McGrath and Eoin O’Connell helped Loughmore establish a 0-9 to 0-6 half-time advantage in Thurles.

Commercials fought back after the break, with Peter McGarry’s two-pointer levelling the contest before Ross Peters put them ahead with 13 minutes remaining.

Loughmore responded through Ed Connolly and Liam McGrath, but Tadhg Condon brought the sides level again with four minutes left.

Joey Quinn edged Loughmore back in front before John McGrath added the insurance point to seal victory, securing the club’s third county SFC success since 2021.
