Roscommon made it back-to-back wins in the Allianz Hurling League Division 3 by defeating Armagh on a comprehensive 2-17 to 0-12 scoreline at BOX-IT Athletic Grounds this afternoon.
The visitors had edged a 0-6 to 0-5 lead when Liam Og Coyle rifled in their first goal in the 19th minute and the Orchard men would be dealt another hammer blow just before half-time as Cian Murray got in for his side’s second goal.
That strike left it at 2-11 to 0-8 when the teams went in at the interval and Coyle, Adam Donnelly (free) and Conor Mulry added points that left the margin at 11 approaching the closing quarter.
Armagh pulled back a couple of scores in the late stages but couldn’t avoid the 11-point loss which marks their third consecutive defeat of the campaign.
