Breaffy qualified for their fourth Mayo SFC final in eight years as they earned a hard-fought victory against Westport at MacHale Park this evening.

The side jointly managed by Peter Ford and Shane Conway avenged last month's one-point defeat to the same opposition in the group stage. They will be hoping that it is a case of fourth time lucky when they face Ballina or Knockmore in the Moclair Cup showpiece.

Colm Flynn played a pivotal role in establishing a 0-8 to 0-5 half-time lead for the winners. The Longford native and 2018 TG4 'Underdogs' captain finished with a tally of 0-7.

Frees from Killian Kilkelly kept Westport in touch but they found themselves chasing the game from the early stages after Breaffy opened up a 0-5 to 0-0 lead 9 minutes in.
