Kilmallock pulled off an upset in the Limerick SHC this evening as they defeated former champions Na Piarsaigh at the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Na Piarsaigh, who have contested six of the last seven county SHC finals, fell to a 1-17 to 2-16 loss after Graeme Mulcahy inspired Kilmallock to victory.

At half time, Na Piarsaigh held a slender 1-11 to 1-10 lead, but spurred on by Mulcahy's 42nd minute goal, Kilmallock took more of their chances.

Na Piarsaigh now face Ahane next weekend in a must win game as Tony Considine's charges sit top of Group 2 in Section A with one round played.
