The draws for the rescheduled 2020 Waterford senior hurling and football championships took place this evening.
There are new formats adopted for both competitions that will see four groups of three teams and a seeding system in place.
Ballygunner will begin their quest for a seventh successive News & Star Cup title against Tallow on 1 August.
The SHC group stage will take just seven days to complete with the remaining games taking place across 6/9 August and 30 days for the entire competition to be run off.
The first placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals (16 August) seeded with second also progressing to the last eight but against one of the top seeds from a different group and third contesting the relegation semi-finals.
Waterford GAA hope to have the SHC wrapped up before the start of the SFC on 5 September with the final and relegation final fixed for 30 August after the semi-finals and relegation semi-finals on 23 August.
The SFC will follow a similar format to the hurling.
