Carlow centurion Kavanagh calls it a day

Benny Kavanagh has announced his inter-county retirement after 10 years in the Carlow jersey.

The Eire Og clubman played over 100 games for the Barrowsiders, with his 100th appearance coming against Longford in last year's Allianz League. He helped Carlow to promotion from Division 4 in 2018 and was also called up to the Leinster inter-provincial squad.

Kavanagh will continue to line out for Eire Og who suffered a narrow defeat to Ballyboden St Enda's in the Leinster club SFC final last month.
