Corofin forward Gary Sice believes that their 2018 All-Ireland club SFC final hammering of Nemo Rangers will count for nothing when the sides meet this weekend.

Indeed, Sice is predicting a much closer affair when the two teams clash on Saturday afternoon in the semi-final.

Speaking to the Connacht Tribune, Sice stated that Nemo will have revenge on their mind and he feels that there will be a dangerous animal.

“I’m sure they weren’t a bit happy with the way it went the last time,” said Sice. “We have been where Nemo have been too and we know what they are feeling. Dr Crokes did a number on us – gave us a good stonking three years ago – but we got an opportunity to get them back, which was great.

“As I said though, Nemo are a different team to what we played two years ago. I think we are as well. We both have brought in new players, so, it is a new game, a different game this time. It is not in Croke Park, it is in Ennis – and it is also winter football. So, it will be a different dynamic. I don’t think we will be thinking about it any other way. It is a whole new challenge for us.”
