Luke Connolly posted 0-7 as Nemo Rangers avenged their sensational 2015 Munster club SFC final defeat to Clonmel Commercials with a comfortable victory in sunny Dungarvan.

There was never any chance of lightning striking twice as the Cork kingpins secured their 17th provincial title and a mouth-watering All-Ireland semi-final meeting with Corofin without hardly breaking sweat.

With 2,124 looking on, a Jason Lonergan free gave Clonmel an early lead before a Connolly brace had the winners ahead after 11 minutes. Further efforts from Mark Cronin and Connolly extended their advantage before Ross Peters registered the Tipperary champions' second score in the 20th minute.

Cronin (free) and Seamus Kennedy traded points before scores from Conor Hogan and Kevin O'Donovan sent Paul O'Donovan's charges into the break with a 0-7 to 0-3 lead.

Captain Barry O'Driscoll and Luke Connolly pushed Nemo further in front after the restart and Clonmel had to wait until the 46th minute for their first score of the half from Jack Kennedy. But they couldn't get any closer as the Cork men pulled away with two more points from Connolly.

Peters and the subdued Michael Quinlivan (free) got two points back for Commercials, but these were cancelled out by efforts from Connolly and Paul Kerrigan for a dominant Nemo side who sealed an impressive win with injury-time scores from substitute Kevin Fulignati and Mark Cronin.
