Tyrone forward Cathal McShane believes that being moved closer to goal in this year’s championship is one of the reasons he was awarded an All-Star last weekend.

McShane scored 3-50 during the course of the championship as he was one of the most prolific forwards in the country.

It has without been his best year in the Tyrone jersey and he thoroughly deserved his award.

“Last year I was playing further out the field and probably setting up more than I was scoring. This year being inside, I worked a lot on it and looked to play at a high standard. I think playing full forward definitely suited me this year,” said McShane told the Ulster Herald.

McShane and Ronan McNamee both picked up All-Stars on the night making it a great evening for the county.
