Padraig Pearses manager Pat Flanagan admits they would be foolish to take their trip to Ruislip to face London champions Tir Chonaill Gaels for granted.

Following their impressive win over Sligo’s Tourlestrane in the Connacht club SFC last weekend, the Roscommon champions now turn their attentions to a provincial semi-final clash against the London kingpins.

They will be strong favourites to advance to the Connacht final where the winners will face either Mayo’s Ballintubber or Galway champions Corofin.

However, Flanagan is experienced enough to know that they will have to be at their best against the home team who will have a lot of support behind them.

“It’s going to be difficult to get everything organised. We have to fly out on Saturday, so we really only have a few days to get ourselves ready,” Flanagan told the Roscommon Herald.

“We certainly won’t be taking anything for granted. Tir Chonaill Gaels won the championship last year and they’ve won it again this year. Clann na nGael found it hard to beat them last year. Nothing will be easy over there and nothing is guaranteed.”
