Michael Fennelly has been ratified as the new Offaly senior hurling manager following last night's county board meeting.

The Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman was handed a two year term in the Faithful County, with the option of a third year, after a unanimous decision from the Offaly clubs.

Meanwhile, John Maughan will manage the county's senior footballers for a second season.
