Donaghy urges Kerry to go for the jugular

Kerry's Stephen O'Brien wheels away after netting his goal against Tyrone

Kerry will need to take every goal chance that comes their way if they are to scupper Dublin's five-in-a-row hopes in the All-Ireland SFC final.

That's the view of former Kingdom full forward Kieran Donaghy who wrote in the Irish Daily Star: "It's clear to me that you really need goals to beat the Dubs and you likely need a significant lead that they can't claw back. Sunday week won't be a day for fisting points when through on Stephen Cluxton.

"Kerry have to be ruthless in those situations and go for green flags. They definitely have the forwards who can find the net.

"Dublin are chasing a shot at history that was beyond even the greatest teams in the past. No matter what anyone says, that brings pressure so a really strong first half from Kerry could plant a few doubts in their heads. It would make it harder for [Jim] Gavin to press that magic button at the start of the third quarter."
