Kerry manager Peter Keane was impressed with his side's workrate during their emphatic win over Mayo.

Quite simply, the Kingdom blew Mayo out of the water in what was an exceptional team display against one of their main rivals.

Played in searing heat, Keane admitted to the Western People that conditions were difficult for the players, but he added that his charges adapted to the high temperature better.

"It was very warm but our lads worked like dogs and that's probably where the game was won in the first half," said Keane.

"We worked very hard and kicked very well in the game. We got over it, but it was a tough game."
