PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Award winners for June: Wexford's Diarmuid O'Keeffe and Donegal's Jamie Brennan.

The PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Award winners were announced today and Wexford’s Diarmuid O’Keeffe and Donegal’s Jamie Brennan were rewarded in hurling and football respectively for their championship performances in June.

O’Keeffe was a vital driving force behind Wexford’s Leinster Championship campaign with wins over Carlow and Kilkenny in June, as well as the thrilling drawn match with Kilkenny in the final round robin fixture.

Meanwhile, Brennan’s free-scoring form has seen him pick up the football award following Donegal’s Ulster Championship wins over Tyrone and Cavan in June.

Leinster GAA Council Chairman, Jim Bolger, said: “Congratulations to our Player of the Month winners for June and best of luck to both Diarmuid and Jamie for the remainder of their championship campaigns.

"The two players are a credit to their clubs and their counties and have exemplified the pride and passion which are central to our games. Many thanks on behalf of the GAA to Billy and the PwC team for hosting today’s event and all they do in the promotion of our games."

Speaking on behalf of the GPA, Chief Executive Paul Flynn added: "Congratulations to both Diarmuid and Jamie on winning their respective awards. Both players have been exceptional on the pitch in recent games and are deserving winners of the PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Awards for June."
