Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have invested in Louth sponsors StatSports

Louth GAA sponsor STATSports scored big again recently after confirming that Premier League stars Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have invested in the company.

The sports technology firm has Irish bases in both Dundalk and Newry and have been sponsoring the Wee County since January 2017, agreeing a three-year deal at the time which has seen them with their logo on the jerseys of all four inter-county football and hurling teams – senior, U21, minor and junior.

Its clients already include European soccer giants such as FC Barcelona, Juventus and PSG and last week it was confirmed that Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling and Liverpool’s Oxlade-Chamberlain had both invested more than €1m each in the business.

STATSports have been Louth's jersey sponsors since 2017

The company is currently valued at over €200million and, speaking on his own investment, Sterling said he is very excited about its future potential.

“I use STATSports technology every single day for both City and England and have done for years, so I know how valuable it is for getting the best out of me for the team,” he stated.

“STATSports has already made a big name for itself in the elite game, but it’s clear to me that there is huge potential for the technology and that is why I’ve invested.”

Liverpool’s Oxlade-Chamberlain commented: “It’s a brand and product I have known and trusted for the last 10 years of my footballing career. Working with STATSports at Southampton, Arsenal, Liverpool and with England, I know this is the best product on the market by far.”
