Paul Browne could yet feature for Limerick in their All-Ireland SHC defence after returning from a long injury layoff in a club game last evening.

The Limerick vice-captain missed the majority of last summer's successful championship campaign after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in June. He wasn't forgotten about on All-Ireland final day, however, when he joined his team-mates for the run-out and the team photo. After spending the past nine months on the sidelines, the Limerick Leader reports that Browne marked his return to action with a late goal in Bruff's 1-10 to 0-11 IHC opening round victory over Dromin-Athlacca.

The midfielder will have another opportunity to prove his fitness to Limerick manager John Kiely next weekend when Bruff take on Bruree in the second round of the county IHC.
