Cork boss John Meyler has named his squad for tomorrow evening’s Kieran O’Connor Benefit Game against Kilkenny at Páirc uí Rinn.
Kieran O’Connor, who part of Cork’s 2010 All-Ireland winning football squad, has been battling Ewing’s Sarcoma for the past 18 months and over €300,000 has been raised in less than a fortnight for his treatment.
The Rebels' squad for the match shows Seamus Harnedy captaining the side from left corner-forward in an attack which includes Robbie O’Flynn, Luke Meade and the county's’ all-time top scorer Patrick Horgan.
Darragh Fitzgibbon and Bill Cooper start at centre-field while Damien Cahalane and Tim O’Mahony take up the central positions in defence at full-back and centre-back, respectively, with Anthony Nash starting in goal.
Aidan Walsh, Mark Coleman and Declan Dalton are all named on the bench for the Cats’ visit.
