Donegal manager Declan Bonner is not looking beyond Saturday’s critical Allianz FL Division 2 clash away to Cork.

The Ulster champions are very much in the mix for an instant return to the top flight but with them currently trailing Meath and Fermanagh in third place they can’t afford to slip up against the Rebel County.

“Our ultimate target is to get promotion and next Saturday is another step along that road, but first we are focused on getting two points,” Bonner told the Irish News.

“The only thing we can immediately control is to get the result against Cork.

“That is all we are looking forward to and if we can get that performance to the levels we know we can, not just for 50 or 60 minutes, but for the full 70 minutes, then we will be in a good place on Saturday.”
