Páirc pitch comes in for renewed criticism

The controversial Páirc Uí Chaoimh playing surface was once again the subject of criticism after yesterday's Allianz League double-header.

The pitch, which Croke Park stadium director Peter McKenna recently admitted would have to be replaced less than two years after it was laid, cut up badly, leading to much negative comment on social media.

Is there any explanation as to WHY the Páirc Uí Chaoimh pitch is so bad? How could they have got it so wrong given the money spent?

Possibly €110m spent on Páirc Uí Chaoimh and the pitch is disgraceful. Surely that surface is a danger to players....
