Martin Carey has stepped down as Wexford senior camogie manager after the team failed to field for yesterday's Division 1 league clash with Cork.

The former Kilkenny goalkeeper and brother of hurling legend DJ was without the St Martin's contingent, who are playing Inniscarra of Cork in an All-Ireland club semi-final today, but one would have still expected the Model County, who were All-Ireland champions as recently as 2012, to be in a position to field. Wexford also fielded a second team at intermediate level up until a year ago.

Carey spent just over a year in the role.
