Wicklow are on the verge of completing the inter-county transfers of two Dublin club footballers for the coming year.

Garden County boss John Evans looks to have secured the services of St Jude’s Oisin Manning and Ballinteer St John’s Davy Devereux, the latter is a brother of former Dublin panellist Nicky.

The Wicklow People reports that both players lined out in a trial game recently with the duo having Wicklow connections, which allows them to make the inter-county transfers.

Both players line out in defence for their respective clubs and their inclusion will soften the blow of the news that experienced duo Seanie Furlong and James Stafford will not be part of the squad for the 2019 campaign.

Evans has a tough task on his hands heading into the new year, but the inclusion of some new faces is sure to freshen up the squad.
