Coleraine held holders Slaughtneil to a draw at Owenbeg to force a Derry SFC quarter-final replay.
Without key defender Brendan Rogers due to injury while chasing a coveted five-in-a-row of John McLaughlin Cups, Ulster champions Slaughtneil found themselves in some early bother this evening as they trailed 0-6 to 0-1 after 11 minutes, but still managed to lead by 0-8 to 0-7 at the interval.
Slaughtneil appeared to be taking control of the contest when Chrissy McKaigue put them two ahead, 0-10 to 0-8, on 43 minutes, however, the Eoghan Rua side weren't going away and a Liam McGoldrick goal levelled matters with ten minutes to play, 0-12 to 1-9.
The next six points were shared, a pointed free from Chrissy Bradley had one between them going into injury-time when Richard Carey's effort ensured a second bite of the cherry for Coleraine, 1-12 to 0-15.
A replay is also needed to separate the sides in today's other last eight clash after it finished, Lavey 2-5, Loup 1-8.
The remaining quarter-finals took place yesterday and saw Glen beat Ballinderry (1-15 to 0-17) thanks to a late Michael Warnock point while Ballinascreen overcame Greenlough (0-13 to 1-9) in a game which was marred by violent scenes at the end.
