Forgotten man Tommy Walsh scored two goals as Kerins O'Rahilly's staged a remarkable late recovery to beat holders Dr Crokes by 3-18 to 2-17 in the second round of the Kerry SFC yesterday.

Colm Cooper and co looked to be coasting to victory when leading by nine points with 10 minutes to go, but two goals in the space of as many minutes from former Kerry and Sydney Swans star Walsh and another from Karl Mullins in injury-time helped the Tralee men to a sensational comeback win which secures their quarter-final place. The result leaves Crokes needing to beat An Gaeltacht in the round 3 next weekend if they're to progress.

In the other Round 2A games, David Clifford scored 2-2 and Dara Roche 2-3 as East Kerry cruised to a 6-15 to 2-10 win over Dingle in Killarney, James O'Donoghue hit 1-6 for Killarney Legion in their 2-13 to 2-9 defeat of Mid Kerry, while Kieran Donaghy posted 1-1 as Austin Stacks edged out South Kerry by 4-7 to 1-15.

In Round 2A, which featured the first round losers, there were wins for Rathmore, An Ghaeltacht, St. Brendan's and St. Kieran's.
