News on Kevin McStay’s future as Roscommon senior football manager is expected today.

The Irish Independent reports that the former Mayo footballer is due to sit down with county board officials.

McStay guided the primrose and blues to provincial success in 2017 but they relinquished their title to Galway in this summer’s decider.

Progress was made in the league with promotion to the top flight for 2019 secured along with the Division 2 silverware.

However, heavy defeats to Tyrone, Donegal and Dublin in the Super 8s took most of the gloss off that achievement.
