July 20, 2018

Tadhg De Brún (RIP).

The death has taken place of Tadhg De Brún who was RTÉ's floor manager for GAA championship games for many years.

A native of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, Tadhg had the task of nabbing managers or players for interviews after big games at Croke Park. He was also responsible for organising interviews before and during RTÉ's coverage of games.

He first worked on an All-Ireland final in 1967 and released a book 'Tunnel Vision' in 2009 which recounted his career and the many personalities he met along the way.

Tadhg, who will be laid to rest in Mount Jermone Cemetery in Dublin tomorrow, is survived by his wife Ursula, son Dara, sister Máirín and extended family.
