Jonny Cooper has vented his fury at plans to run the proposed Dublin MetroLink through Na Fianna's GAA grounds.
The Mobhi Road club were given just 48 hours notice that they would lose their front pitch and both all-weather pitches to the MetroLink which will see Swords and Sandyford connected by 2027.
Na Fianna PRO Cormac O'Sullivan has warned that the plan would have "disastrous consequences for Na Fianna and for the cultural hub on Dublin 7, Dublin 9 and Dublin 11 areas," while Dublin All-Ireland winning defender Cooper also blasted the proposed route on Twitter.
The NTA are forgetting to mention they are TAKING our main GAA pitch and 2 all weather pitches from @clgNaFianna. We cater for 125 teams & have over 3,500 people from the community ENGAGED. This project is supposed to bring people together not force US apart. @Shane_RossTD ?? https://t.co/aROdnaW7c5
