There's uproar in Kerry at the minute following the sacking of the county's ladies minor manager by email.
Jonathan Griffin was informed by Kerry LGFA at the weekend that the services of him and his backroom team were no longer required - less than a week before the team's Munster championship opener against Tipperary.
Radio Kerry released a statement from Kerry LGFA regarding the decision, having decided at a meeting of the county board executive that "the present and future aims of the Kerry LGFA and current minor management team were not aligned. They subsequently decided for a change of management, with immediate effect."
Responding to the decision on the same radio station, Griffin said he wasn't convinced that it was a representation of all the members of the Kerry LGFA executive.
"I believe this email is only representative of a certain section of members of the Kerry LGFA executive and others were not privy or in support of this email. I am presently considering my right of reply in relation to this email and will certainly do so in due course."
Griffin, who intends to appeal the decision to the "relevant LGFA authorities", has gained support on Twitter this week from the likes of IT Tralee manager Liam Brosnan and former Kerry ladies senior manager Robbie O Grifin.
Don't know the ends and outs of what's happening in the kerry ladies top table but that's not the way to treat management and especially players of the Kerry minor ladies deserve better . @Slyone1069 @moynihan_tim @weeshiefogarty @radiokerrysport

TweetReally disturbing behavior that a group of less than six people can 'terminate' a manager by email six days ahead of the opening championship without it being discussed by club delegates- Sadly it's a reason why Ladies Football in Kerry is very much back in the dark ages https://t.co/bzsbFMJXsZ
