As expected, Wexford hurler Cathal Dunbar's transfer from his native Ballygarrett to Gorey's Naomh Eanna has been put on hold.

Representatives from the Ballygarrett club have categorically stated that there is no way that they are willing to let the county player leave the club.

They refute claims that Dunbar is now residing in Gorey and when his transfer application was brought to the CCCC last week, it was put on hold.

The members of the CCCC have asked the county board for further clarification on the transfer before making a final decision.

However, it looks as if, this saga could drag on for some time. Dunbar is hurling away with the county though at the moment, but is sure to want the situation resolved sooner rather than later.
