Louth hurlers have been boosted by the addition of brothers Gerry and Niall Arthur from Clare.

The Arthur siblings, who hail from the Inagh-Kilamona club, lined out for the Wee County for the first time on Sunday when they defeated Tyrone by 4-12 to 0-20 in Darver.

And they made an instant impact with All-Ireland U21HC winner Niall scoring 2-9 from full-forward and Gerry leading from midfield as Louth registered their first league win in two years.

Philip O'Brien's charges will be looking for more of the same from the Banner born brothers on Sunday week when they continue their Division 3A campaign with a home clash against Warwickshire.
