Antrim defender Conor Hamill has been ruled out for the Saffrons' Allianz Football League opener against Leitrim on Sunday.
The Glenavy clubman is currently side-lined with a groin injury and manager Lenny Harbinson has planned without him for Leitrim's visit to Corrigan Park for the Division 4 clash this weekend.
"He (Hamill) got some game-time in the McKenna Cup. We took him off at half-time of our last game against St Mary's, just to give him a break," Harbinson told The Irish News.
"He was away in the Himalayas for 10 days and suffered altitude sickness and when he came back we had been training a few weeks. He probably pushed himself too hard when he came back and then he picked up an injury because he knew he was behind in the sprint work and stuff."
The Saffrons boss added: "I like young Hamill. He is quite a sticky marker but we have good defensive options this year."
