Cathal Cregg will make his first appearance for Roscommon in 18 months in Sunday's Connacht FBD FL clash against Galway at Tuam Stadium.

The former Rossie captain hasn't featured for the primrose and blues since the All-Ireland qualifier defeat to Clare in July 2016 after opting out of the county set-up last season to concentrate on his studies.

He is named at corner-forward as manager Kevin McStay makes wholesale changes to the side that saw off Mayo in Castlebar last weekend.

Roscommon (Connacht FBD FL v Galway): James Featherston; Peter Domican, John McManus, Sean Mullooly; Ronan Daly, Fergal Lennon, Conor Devaney; Tadhg O'Rourke, Hubert Darcy; Finbar Cregg, Niall Kilroy, Enda Smith; Donie Smith, Fintan Cregg, Cathal Cregg.

Subs: Aaron Brady, Philip Neilan, Henry Walsh, Conor Daly, Ciaran Lennon, Ciaran Cafferkey, Aengus Lyons, Brian Stack.
