The late Seamus Smith The sudden death at his Madden home on Sunday, June 20th, of Mr Seamus Smith, has occasioned widespread sorrow and regret. He came from a large family of 13 that are well known and respected in the Madden area A widower, Seamus resided at 61 Kilcreevy Road. He was predeceased by his wife Sheila and is survived by his sons Jim. Joe, Peter, Kevin and Martin and daughters Mary and Theresa. Seamus played football for Madden Raparees back in the 1960's and was a dedicated supporter of Gaelic games. Also left to mourn his loss are his brothers Anthony and Mick, sisters Marry Ellen, Kitty, Lily, Clare, Margaret, Bridie, Monica, Rose, Annie and Cecilia. Deepest sympathy is extended to all. The large turnout at the funeral bore testimony to the high esteem in which the deceased was held and just how popular he was. His remains were removed from his late residence to St. Joseph's Church, Madden. Tweet
