Hurlers host Down

May 09, 2013
Armagh hurlers' Christy Ring Cup campaign hangs by a thread as they prepare to host Down at Crossmaglen on Saturday afternoon.

Following last weekend's defeat to Meath, the Orchard County are now in the last chance saloon and they will be up against it when they face their neighbours and old rivals.

Down pushed Kerry all the way in their clash last Saturday, but just came up short at the end.

However, Armagh manager David Kennedy was proud of his side's display against Meath and feels that there were plenty of positives to take from the game.

Even still, Down will be a step up in class from Meath and they should advance to the quarterfinals.
