Canavan has no idea who he'll be facing

Fermanagh manager Peter Canavan
Peter Canavan says Cavan V Armagh in the Ulster SFC is "a toss of a coin".

Canavan's Fermanagh await the winners of Sunday week's preliminary-round clash and the former Tyrone star admits he has no inkling as to who that might be:

"You wouldn't be surprised if it went either way," he tells The Irish News. "Not only do we not know who we are playing but there could be problems over venues.

"It would be a big help at this stage [to know] as far as management is concerned with gathering up information and whatnot.

"Cavan will be severely hit by the fact that Gearoid McKiernan is out injured. He is a massive player for them but they have home advantage and there is a feelgood factor in the county with the U21s doing so well and bringing success to the county.

"I was at Armagh's game last year against Tyrone and they played a lovely brand of football. They have some of the best players in the country.

"They are going to be hard to beat and it has the makings of a great game at Breffni Park."
