The Late Francie Casey The recent death of Francie Casey, a well known GAA figure throughout the county and much further afield has been widely mourned. Francie, aged 58 hailed from Blackwatertown where a deep love of gaelic games was instilled in him. He played with the local club and also represented his county. Francie was also keenly interested in hurling and when took up residence in Keady got involved with the local hurling club. Married into the well known Nugent GAA family from Keady. Francie also did a lot of work for the Ulster Council, collecting and stewarding at games. He had been ill for some time. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Briege and the Casey and Nugent families. His largest attended funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick's Church.
