Cahill comes to Doon's assistance
August 11, 2004
Antrim hurling manager Dinny Cahill has agreed to assist Limerick club Doon in their attempt to win the county senior championship for the first time.
The Tipperary native, whose future with the Glensmen could be in doubt after their crushing All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Cork last month, will hope to lead Doon to their second county final appearance in three years. But first they need to secure at least a point from their meeting with Adare this weekend if they are to qualify for the quarter-finals.
"We have a young team this season and Dinny is the man to get the best out of them. He is only an hour's drive away from us," a club source enthused.
