Sad, sad news at the passing of John Rowntree; a gael, gentleman and former runai of Michael Davitt GAC, Belfast. John was club secretary for many years and also represented the club at County Committee until illness forced him to step aside at the end of last year.

He will be sadly missed at games and in the committee room, but always fondly remembered by everyone connected with the club and wider GAA circles in Antrim. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Pauline, sons Paul and Kieran, daughters Joanne and Therese and entire family circle at this sorrowful time.

Requiem mass will be held in St. Matthias, Glen Road on Thursday 23rd at 12 noon'
