Derry man Liam Bradley was last night installed as the new Antrim football manager in succession to Jody Gormley. Bradley, father of Derry forwards Paddy and Eoin, has been appointed for a three-year term after losing out to Damien Cassidy for the Oak Leaf post a few weeks ago. He saw off the challenges of former Saffrons boss Brian White, Frank Delargy and Conor McSheery to take charge of what is widely regarded as the weakest inter-county football team in Ulster. However, Bradley, who led Glenullin to a Derry SFC success last year, is convinced that he can tap into the "massive potential" of Antrim football and drive the county's fortunes forward. "Antrim have great potential, probably more potential than a lot of people give them credit for," he said. "The media, the experts, have them maybe 25th in Ireland at the minute. I think they are a lot, lot better than that. There is massive potential there that I think hasn't been touched." Bradley confirmed that his right hand man will be Derry's Niall Conway, who led the county's minors to an All-Ireland final appearance last year. Tweet
