Antrim's Niall McKeever and Conor Meredith of Laois are two of four Irish players scheduled to trial with AFL clubs next month, Australian players' agent Ricky Nixon has confirmed. It is already known that McKeever will spend a week with St. Kilda after catching Nixon's eye during trials he held in Ireland over the summer. St Kilda CEO Archie Fraser said: "There is a slightly different opportunity for the kids who are from the south of Ireland, as opposed to the lure of kids from up north, who maybe have less of a chance historically of securing a chance of an All-Ireland final."
