There was a dramatic finish to today's Antrim SFC semi-final when a Tomas McCann goal from a 20-metre free handed Cargin a one-point victory over St Gall's.

With nearly ever St Gall's player standing on the goal-line, McCann still managed to pick his spot with a rocket of a shot to send the Cargin supporters into raptures. And who could blame them after they had seen their team come from six points down early in the second half to book their place in the county final.

St Gall's looked home and hosed when goals at the start of the second period from Kevin Niblock and Kieran McGourty had propelled them into 4-5 to 0-11 lead. They were still three points up, 4-8 to 0-17, with four minutes remaining, but Cargin refused to give up the ghost and snatched a 2-17 to 4-10 win thanks to late majors from James Gribben and McCann.
