Seniors: We lost away to Scotstown last Friday 2-05 to 1-11. Scotstown took the lead in the 2nd minute of the game and were in front for the game thereafter. A fine goal by Mark Counihan for us in the 24th minute reduced the deficit to a single point, and a point remained the difference in the teams at half time, 1-3 to 1-4. Scotstown were reduced to 14 men in the opening minutes of the second half, but despite this, scored 6 of the following 7 points of the game to leave us behind 1-4 to 1-10 on 53 minutes. A late Damian McRory goal gave us some hope of salvation, but the game finished shortly afterwards in defeat, 2-5 to 1-11. Reserves B: We lost at home to Magheracloone on Wednesday night, 0-9 to 0-12. The loss was attributed to a poor first half display in which we had only credited for 1 point by half time. Reserves C: We drew away with Emyvale on Monday night, 1-8 to 0-11. The next round of the championship is presently fixed for Wednesday, June 23rd. Check with club website and training for confirmation of fixture.
Over 35s: The over 35s won their second game in the Clontibret tournament last Sunday evening, 0-15 to 0-6. Performing in the dream team on the day were: Damian McKenna, Dermot McKenna, Kieran McKenna, Colin Skinnader, Donal Skinnader, Joe McCarey, Frank McKenna, Martin Woods, Adrian Sherry, Jerome Treanor, Kevin Hagan, Michael McKenna, Stephen Smith, Shane McGeough, Padraig Treanor, Shane McKenna, Charlie Treanor & Damian Farrelly. The next game is on Saturday 25th June.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of the jackpot this week. This week's lucky numbers were 3, 9, 14, 19. There were 6 match 3 winners, each receiving €35: Brain Murphy-Terrys, Peter Hamill-Aughnacloy, Noeleen McCruden-Deravoy, Caoihin O'Conghaile-Drumhillock (Yearly Ticket), Greg Finnegan-Ivy Hill (YT) & Mike Treanor-Dungillick (YT). Parish Open Sports Day: Keep free Sunday 8th August for a parish open sports day in St. Mellans.
Ulster Championship: The Ulster semi-final match between Monaghan and Fermanagh in Breffni Park on Sunday, 27th June, is not all-ticket. Tickets are required for the covered stand only. Tickets for this stand can be ordered from Majella, 086 8264699, before this Sunday evening. Prices are the same as per Quarter Final.
U-8 & U-10s: The took part in the county go games blitz in Cloghan last Saturday. We had 2 teams taking part. Well done to all involved. Thanks to John McCarron for refereeing. U-8s & U-10s training continues every Wed 6.30-7.30pm in St. Mellans.
U-12s: Our a1 were beaten by Scotstown last Thursday. We also took part in the Galbally blitz last Saturdaywhere we reached the semi-final. The next a1 game is Thurs 17th June at 7pm in St. Mellans where Monaghan Harps will be the opposition. Our a2 team defeated Rockcorry last Saturday, 7-17 to 5-04. Our team and scorers were: Francis Sherry (0-1), Domnic Flood, Shane McKenna (1-0), Cormac McKenna (0-1), Finbar McGinn, Gary Moen (2-9), Cillian Woods (2-6), James Treanor (2-0), Oisin Treanor, Karl Magnone. The next a2 game is this Thurday 17th June in St. Mellans at 7pm.
U-14s: were beaten by Carrickmacross last Tuesday, 2-05 to 4-10.
Monaghan VHI GAA Cul Camps: are on this year in St. Mellans from Monday 9th to Friday 13th August. The camp is between 10am to 2.30pm and can be booked online at www.gaa.ie. Alternatively, application forms are available from Sean McGinn.

Camogie:
Seniors: Training continues on Tuesdays at 6.30 and Fridays at 7pm.
Juveniles: Well done to the girls and boys from Clara N.S on winning the parish blitz on Sunday last. Despite the weather, a good day was enjoyed. Thank you to all the parents who came to support and to all the hurlers and camogs who came down to help out.
Juvenile training continues on Saturday in St Mellans at 11am. Imelda, Sharon, Claire and Shannon are on duty this week.

Hurling:
U-12s: Blitz taken place this Sunday in Cloghan at 11am. Bus will leave St. Mellans at 10am. Training is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 6.30pm in St. Mellans.
Blind Date: takes place on 31st of July in St.Mellans. This follows the success of last year's coupling up of strangers. Keep date free to ensure you can attend a serious night's craic.
Congratulations: to Clara school who won the parish blitz on Sunday at St. Mellans. Well done to the other schools for their performances.
Seniors: Next match is Thursday 24th at home to the Harps in the senior league. Training continues on Tuesday and Saturdays.
Ladies Football:
Seniors: Our senior teams have finished their league games until after the exams. It is now down to preparation for the championship. Training is now on Tuesdays in Emyvale parish Field and Fridays at 8pm in St Mellans. All players are asked to make a special effort to attend.
U-12s: Training Saturdays St Mellans 12-1pm and Thursday evenings 6.30pm-7.15pm.
U-14s: Monday evenings in St Mellans at 6.30pm.
U-16s: Good luck to all the girls in their exams.
Well Done: To Sharon, Margaret, Rachel and the County Senior ladies Team who won their second championship match last Sunday beating Armagh in a tough encounter. Their final game is on Sunday June 27th against Down.
