A Cork GAA club social media post went viral last weekend after their full back couldn’t stay for extra-time in a junior ‘C’ hurling match for a most unusual reason.
When the game between Kilshannig and Milford finished level at 1-11 apiece, it left 18-year-old Jack Kavanagh – who was playing his first-ever adult championship match – facing a dilemma. He either stayed on for extra-time or missed an important driving lesson!
In the end, he opted for the latter and his absence wasn’t felt as Kilshannig went on to win on a 1-20 to 1-15, while racking up over 1.5 million views on their social media account!
